MEDPIMOLD technology for complex ceramic
and PM parts
The MEDPIMOLD technology offers a robust production
route for many ceramic and metal parts, also in small to medium
size production volume. For some products, such as metal-bonded
diamond components, it may be the only feasible technology. The
equipment design and technology can be modified to better fit particular
manufacturing needs.
The technology includes powder pre-processing, Medium Pressure Injection
Moulding and extractive/evaporative binder removal. Recent development
has covered the use of supercritical carbon dioxide extraction in
order to create a closed-loop, fast and environment-friendly production
process. Advances in this development as well as some product examples
using the MEDPIMOLD technology will be described. |
